Bachpan Diaries is not yet open to community submissions.

We are currently an editorial platform, building our archive one story at a time. We plan to open to community writers in the future.

If you'd like to be notified when we open submissions, leave your email on our About page. We'll reach out to you first.

What we will look for when submissions open:

Stories about growing up in India — any era, any region, any language. Personal memories, folk tales, family stories. Told with care and honesty. Stories that make someone say — yes, I remember that too.

What we will not publish: fictional stories unrelated to childhood or India, content that is promotional or commercial in nature, content that demeans or stereotypes any community.
